Called To Create Podcast-Purposeful Fulfillment, Personal Development, Creative Entrepreneurship

Guess what? Creativity is your superpower!

Have you ever heard anyone ever say that before?

You will have people say ‘I’m not creative!’ but that's just not true.

Definition of creativity: the use of the imagination or the creation
of original ideas.

It’s deeper than creativity in art, it’s a creation-it’s bringing something into existence.

Which by the way includes creating your thoughts, creating your feelings, creating your reality.

Anytime you create something it’s going to happen by using materials that already exist, and either transforming it into something else or combining it with something.

There’s a thing called creative problem solving and using your creative superpower will help you in ways that will amaze you.

REJECTION! Never Take It Personally!

I know that’s easier said than done and, it can be super painful
and debilitating!  I know because I’ve had experiences in my life, especially as a teenager (if you know what I mean!)

But also in my business too.  Early on when I used to make things and try to sell them at Craft Fairs and not very many people were buying the things that I made was really, really hard.

That felt like the ultimate rejection I could have ever experienced
in my business.

In life and in your business you’re going to have people reject you and/or your ideas, or, criticize you and, criticizing is also a form of rejection because they’re being negative about what you say, do, and make.

But I want to tell you that to remember that

It’s never about you when you’re criticized or rejected, it’s always about them-the other person.

When you are successful you will have people criticize you and
then reject you because they usually aren’t successful themselves and have a deep sense of lack they feel within.

You have two choices:

You can take the route that will lead you to ignore the critics and let it motivate you to prove that what you’re doing is worth it, or, you can take the route that will lead you to get upset and drop out of life or your business.

Which are you going to choose?

You are different!  Creative people like you are different!  And being different comes with its own rewards like having success in your business, having a more fulfilling life, and more.

What can you do to motivate yourself when you’ve been rejected?

Here are the things that you can do:

Remember that you were created by God, remember your WHY, remember your creative gifts, and remember that with your gifts-you can make a difference in your family, your community, or the world.

If you want success in whatever you’re doing you have to ignore
the critics and remember that being rejected doesn’t define who you are and it doesn’t devalue your worth.

REMEMBER! Never take rejection personally!

You’re going to have to do things you’ve never done before when you have your own business and there’s no way around it and I’m here to help you on your journey!

I really love how humanity works where we all help each other.  If everyone did the same thing in their business or their jobs, then life and, this world would be so much better.

That’s one of the reasons why I have this podcast, it’s so that I can help you by teaching what I know and sharing the things that I think could help you in your life and in your business…all for FREE!

Of course, I would love for you to work with me so that I can help you get your business started and help you understand how to stitch all the pieces of a business together.  But, it’s OK if you’re
not interested in working with me or you’re not ready.

I still want to teach and share as much as possible with you.

I love teaching because I learn a lot while I’m teaching. I love how that works!

Think about when you were a kid and you fell down and skinned both of your knees. 😩

What did you do?  (Now just as a side note, I don’t have a high tolerance for physical pain, so I’m pretty sure I cried a lot.)

What about you? Did you cry a lot and then after the pain subsided, did you get back up and start playing again?  Or did you sit there and give up on having fun?

I was talking to a friend recently about her business and she said that sometimes she feels like she’s hanging on by a thread.

That’s why it’s so important to have a friend, or a coach, or someone who has a business too that you can work with or talk to when you feel like you’re hanging on by a thread.

Everything in life that’s good is worth learning and just like business, it’s always going to be a learning process and journey.  Not everything is going to be smooth sailing or easy and that’s good because when you have to work hard at something, you appreciate it way, way more.

Here are some of the things you can do to help you when you’re struggling:

1.  Find someone that you can talk to on a weekly basis that will
be supportive if you’re not ready to hire a coach yet.

2.  Say a prayer if you believe in God.

3.  Journaling-it’s such a powerful tool, it helps you get out all the things that are going on in your mind.

4.  Take a class or course in that area that you’re trying to learn and understand.

5.  You have to go back to why you’re doing this or why you want to start a business, then it makes things so much more difficult.  Don’t give up when things get hard.  Go back to your WHY. What is so important to you!

REMEMBER-pick yourself up when you fall or feel like you’ve failed because you have worth and value and what you do matters!  You can do this.

Have you been wondering or even losing sleep over how much
it’s going to cost you to start your business?!  It can seem overwhelming just thinking about that because money is one of those things that can stress people out.

And, because of that reason, I have a number of things to share
with you about start-up costs and some examples that can give
you an idea of how much money you would need.

But let me start by saying that there is no one way that’s perfect
or the right way to start because it will always depend on what
kind of business you want to start and how much time you
actually have to work on your business.

And also the structure of your business will depend on if you
want to sell a physical product that you make yourself, or if you want to sell a digital product, or if you want to teach a skill that you’re good at.

There are so many things that go into starting and running a business.

➡️ The first example is if you want to start without having to spend any money for various reasons, you can look at what resources you already have - like your computer and cell phone.

➡️ The second example is if you have only $100 to spend, you can
buy a $20 Lavalier microphone to record your videos or audio.

➡️ The third example is if you are willing to spend $500 or more so that you can buy a better microphone or, pay for services that will allow you to have another person help you create designs in Canva
are some things that you could spend your money on.

I don’t advise you to spend a lot of money at first because you never really know if all the money you’re spending is going to be worth it or if you’re going to continue with your business.

Think about it, maybe you start your business, and a few months into you decide that entrepreneurship is not for you or, that you want to change the structure of your business completely, there can be an unlimited number of reasons.
